St Leonards Estate gets into ‘The Ashes’ cricket spirit

St Leonards Estate residents joined Creating Communities, Progress Developments and Little Group for a game of community cricket, fun in the photo booth and a picnic in the park, followed by a special outdoor screening of The Life of Pi on Saturday 7 December.

Though the competition was friendly, a few budding Michael Clarkes were definitely spotted on the field. St Leonards Estate Development Manager, Rob Cole, joined in the fun (check out his batting style below). He said, “It was fantastic to see the community group coming together and the residents enjoying the movie night. The casual cricket match before was a great opportunity for everyone to interact and it was fabulous to see all the kids involved.”

Once the sun went down, the newly-formed Residents Group supplied the popcorn and glow sticks, raising money to go towards the community initiatives they have planned for 2014.
